Joseph Sams has been a civil trial attorney for nearly 30 years. He began his career clerking for Judge H. Hurlburt Tomlin in the Superior Court of New Jersey in Camden County. Joseph primarily practices in the areas of asbestos litigation, auto, premises liability, dental, and medical malpractice. He has also worked for the state of New Jersey in child welfare cases.
Joseph achieved the status of Certified Civil Trial Attorney from the New Jersey Supreme Court during 1998-2005. He was also awarded a BV Rating by Matindale-Hubbell from 2002 to the present. Joseph enjoys sports, cooking, and going to comedy clubs.
Joseph earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Seton Hall University. He also graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law with a J.D., and served as Associate Editor of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal. Joseph published a case note for the Journal entitled, “Judicial Construction of the Federal Securities Laws: Legislative Intent and Present-Day Application of the Civil Liability Provisions,” 11 Seton Hall Legis. J. 343 (1988). He is licensed to practice in New Jersey, U.S. District Court, U.S. Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
