$14 Million Settlement for 68-Year-Old Man Killed in Tractor Trailer Accident

$7.25 Million Recovery for Infant Death in Infantino Baby Sling
Feldman Shepherd attorneys Alan M. Feldman, Daniel J. Mann, Edward S. Goldis and Thomas Martin secured a $7.25 million settlement for the mother of a 25 day-old infant, who suffocated while being carried in an Infantino SlingRider infant carrier. The lawsuit brought by the infant’s mother, Christina Bethea, contended that the unsafe design of the SlingRider caused the baby to curl into a chin-on-chest position, impairing its ability to breathe. $2.3 Million Arbitration Award for Injured Captain of Newark Fire Department
Attorneys John M. Dodig and Jason A. Daria obtained a $2.3 million arbitration award for retired Newark Fire Department Captain Kevin Killeen and his wife, Noel, for injuries sustained by Mr. Killeen while fighting a fire in New Jersey.
Mark Tanner Argument on Pennsylvania Cable Network
Attorney Mark W. Tanner recently appeared before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania on behalf of two police officers who were injured in the line of duty. Tanner had also served as trial counsel on behalf of the officers in a trial where he won a verdict in their favor and against an insurance broker who falsified forms in an effort to deprive these officers of certain insurance proceeds. The insurance broker appealed, and our clients prevailed again in the Superior Court during the first level of the appeal. The broker then appealed to the Supreme Court, resulting in this argument which was televised throughout Pennsylvania on Pennsyvlania Cable Network (PCNTV).
Attorney Tom Martin Takes on Philadelphia VIP Pro Bono Case
Attorney Thomas Martin accepted a referral from Philadelphia VIP, the Philadelphia Bar Association’s pro bono organization, to represent Alberto Sanchez who had been sued by Nationwide Insurance Company for property damage to a vehicle insured by Nationwide. Mr. Sanchez was adamant that the accident did not occur as alleged by Nationwide and was, in fact, the fault of the other driver. The Nationwide insured appeared at the Municipal Court trial and testified in support of the Nationwide claim. His story did not stand up to cross examination, however. After Mr. Sanchez testified to his version, the Judge found Mr. Sanchez to be credible and entered a verdict in favor of our client against Nationwide.
