$1.25 Million Settlement for Cervical Fusion Caused by Motor Vehicle Accident

On October 10, 2006, during mediation, John M. Dodig and Jason A. Daria were successful in obtaining a $1.25 million settlement for Patrick Kane, a 45-year-old mason who was injured in a motor vehicle accident in 2003.

Mr. Kane was injured when the minivan he was operating was struck from behind by a vehicle owned by Steamfitters’ Local Union 420. Patrick Kane sustained injuries to his cervical spine, which necessitated triple level fusion at C4 through C7. Dodig and Daria feel that the significant settlement resulted from testimony at the Mediation Hearing detailing the effect Patrick Kane’s injuries have had not only on himself, but his wife and two young children.
