$1.355 Million Settlement for Injuries Arising from Improperly Maintained Highway

Daria secured a $1.355 million settlement for a driver who suffered significant orthopedic and other injuries when he lost control of his pick-up truck after its passenger-side tires encountered a pavement edge drop-off along a roadway in Gallagher Township, Pennsylvania.

The drop-off was approximately 7 inches deep and several hundred feet long. When our client, who was traveling in the southbound lane, attempted to steer his tires out of the drop-off, his truck veered to the left. It traveled across both lanes of travel, struck a metal guiderail along the edge of the northbound lane, flipped onto its right side, and came to rest in the northbound lane.
