$1.9 Million Settlement of New Jersey Cerebral Palsy Case

In February 2010, attorneys Daniel S. Weinstock and Carolyn M. Chopko obtained a $1.9 million settlement of a brain-damaged baby case in Trenton, NJ. The mother had come into the hospital with a placental abruption, and Feldman Shepherd attorneys Weinstock and Chopko argued that the on-call physician was negligent for wasting valuable minutes waiting for the attending obstetrician to get to the hospital before beginning an emergency cesarean section. The resulting delay contributed to the child’s injuries.

As part of the terms of the settlement, the defendants have insisted on confidentiality.
