$1 Million Settlement for Estate of Man Killed in Motor Vehicle Accident

Attorney Robert Levant secured a $1 million settlement for the Estate of Bruce Hunter. Mr. Hunter was a 41-year-old man from West Philadelphia who was killed after the minivan that he was operating was struck by a speeding Lamborghini. The Lamborghini was being operated by an individual who procured the car from a luxury rental agency in Massachusetts. Levant was able to convince the defense that the law of Massachusetts should be applied in determining the applicable insurance coverage. Under Massachusetts law, there was $1 million in coverage and the policy limits were tendered by the defense. Had Pennsylvania law been applied, the available insurance coverage would have been $15,000.
