$3.125 Million for Motor Vehicle Accident Victim

Attorneys John M. Dodig and Jason A Daria secured a $3.125 million settlement for a 51-year-old motor vehicle accident victim who suffered injuries that rendered him permanently disabled.

Their client, who was employed as a laborer, was a restrained passenger in a work van driven by his boss when their vehicle was struck by another vehicle whose driver made a left turn directly into their path. His injuries included: a laceration to his head that required eight staples, a fracture of his cervical spine with pain radiating into his arms bilaterally, and a right rotator cuff tear.

He underwent two surgeries for his cervical spine and shoulder as well as extensive treatment for pain management. However, he continues to suffer from chronic pain and mobility deficits, and he has not been able to return to his regular activities of daily living, including gainful employment. He has also suffered from posttraumatic depression, anxiety and recurrent nightmares since the accident.

The settlement secured by Dodig and Daria is projected to assure that the client’s continuing medical and economic needs will be met for the rest of his life.
