$4.25 Million Settlement for Premises Liability Death

In December 2014, attorneys John M. Dodig and Jason A. Daria reached a settlement of $4.25 million after mediation on behalf of a 69-year-old man who was injured at a hospital when a wheelchair lacerated his leg. The decedent developed complications from a laceration sustained in the incident and died three months later, leaving behind a wife and three grown children. The settlement will compensate the decedent’s widow for, among other things, her husband’s lost earnings. The parties names and further details are subject to a confidentiality order.
