Reginald L. Streater

Feldman Shepherd is pleased to announce that trial attorney Reginald L. Streater was named as a 2026 Black Trailblazer by multimedia news organization City & State Pennsylvania.

The award recognizes “Pennsylvania’s most dynamic and accomplished African Americans, from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia.” Streater was recognized in his capacity as both a trial attorney at Feldman Shepherd and as president of the Philadelphia Board of Education. City & State Pennsylvania gave nod to Streater’s “passion for advocacy, justice, equal access to resources, and public education.”

At Feldman Shepherd, Streater represents individuals and families in all manner of catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice and civil rights cases. As president of the Philadelphia Board of Education, he oversees approximately 200,000 students, 20,000 employees, a significant portfolio of school district properties, and a budget of $4.5 billion. He is a graduate of the School District of Philadelphia and has two school-aged children who attend school in the district.

“It is a privilege to be honored alongside such an inspiring group of individuals. This recognition serves as a powerful reminder that the ‘village’ sees and appreciates the impact of public service. It reinforces my commitment to advocating for the people and the collective interests I am so proud to represent,” said Streater.

“We are proud of Reggie’s tireless devotion and commitment to see that the educational needs of our City’s children are met every day. He is undeterred by adversity in these efforts and his tenacity mirrors what we see in his zealous advocacy for our clients. Reggie continues to touch many lives, and Philadelphia owes him a debt of gratitude,” said Feldman Shepherd Co-Managing Partner Mark W. Tanner.
