Feldman Shepherd Attorney Bethany Nikitenko Elected to Board of Governors of Philadelphia Bar Association

January 11, 2022

The law firm of Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock Dodig LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Bethany R. Nikitenko has been elected to the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association for the 2022 through 2024 term.

Founded in 1802, the Philadelphia Bar Association is the oldest association of lawyers in the United States. With 12,000 members, its mission is to serve the profession and the public by promoting justice, professional excellence and respect for the rule of law.

Nikitenko served on the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Board of Governors in 2021. She previously served as Vice Chair of the association’s Young Lawyers Division Executive Committee and will continue to serve on the committee through the end of 2022. In 2018, she was honored by the association with its Craig M. Perry Service Award for her numerous volunteer activities, which have included serving as a volunteer attorney for Philadelphia VIP, serving as a member of the Development Committee for Women Against Abuse, and serving on the Executive Board of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Jewish Committee.

“It is a tremendous honor and privilege to be elected to the Board of Governors to represent the members of the Philadelphia Bar Association. In this position, I hope to carry on the important traditions of the association, which includes promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the legal community and improving access to justice for all Philadelphians,” said Nikitenko.

“For more than 30 years, service to the profession has always been an important part of our firm’s identity,” said Alan M. Feldman, Co-Managing Partner and former Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association. “We are delighted that Bethany has chosen to carry on this great tradition.”

At Feldman Shepherd, Nikitenko represents individuals and families who have been catastrophically injured by medical malpractice, auto and motor vehicle accidents, unsafe buildings, defective products, and sexual abuse.
