November 1, 2013

Philadelphia personal injury law firm Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock Dodig LLP has been named a U.S. News — Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firm” for 2014 — achieving a Philadelphia Tier 1 ranking in the areas of medical malpractice law and personal injury litigation. In addition, seven of the firm’s attorneys have been selected by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2014. They are: Carol Nelson Shepherd, Alan M. Feldman, Ezra Wohlgelernter,Mark W. Tanner, Daniel S. Weinstock, John M. Dodig, andRoberta D. Pichini. Pichini also was honored as Lawyer of the Year in the practice area of medical malpractice law on behalf of plaintiffs.

The attorneys were recognized for their work on behalf of plaintiffs in the practice areas of mass tort litigation / class actions, personal injury litigation, medical malpractice law and product liability litigation.

“Once again, we are honored to have been recognized nationally by our clients and peers as one of the best personal injury and medical malpractice law firms in the United States,” said Feldman Shepherd Co-Managing Partner Mark W. Tanner. “That honor and the individual accolades both reflect our firm’s unwavering commitment to providing exemplary legal services, especially to victims of negligence, for the past 25 years.”

The rigorous evaluation process to generate the “Best Law Firm” rankings includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process. To be eligible for a ranking, a law firm must have at least one lawyer included in The Best Lawyers in America.

Tier 1 rankings are determined through the firm’s overall evaluation, which was derived from a combination of its clients’ impressive feedback, the high regard that lawyers in other firms in the same practice area have for Feldman Shepherd and the information that the firm provided to Best Lawyers® via a survey.

The Best Lawyers in America has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence since its inception in 1983. The 2014 edition was based on more than 4.9 million detailed evaluations of lawyers by other lawyers. Attorneys also are neither required nor allowed to pay a fee to be listed.

Because of the breadth, depth and neutrality of the evaluation, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor.

Feldman Shepherd’s trial lawyers represent plaintiffs in significant personal injury, class action and other complex civil litigation. Seriously injured individuals and their families turn to Feldman Shepherd’s capable practitioners for sound counseling and skilled representation in matters relating to medical malpractice, defective products, unsafe workplaces, motor vehicle accidents, legal malpractice, consumer protection, insurer misconduct, premises liability and disability insurance, to name only a few.
