September 28, 2023

Philadelphia personal injury law firm Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock & Dodig LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Reginald L. Streater has joined our practice.

Streater represents individuals and families in all manner of catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice and civil rights cases. In addition to his legal practice, he presently serves as president of Philadelphia’s Board of Education and oversees approximately 200,000 students, 20,000 employees, a significant portfolio of school district properties, and a budget of $4.5 billion.

In 2023, Streater was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star and was honored by The Legal Intelligencer as a Power Player. He was named a 2022 and 2021 Philadelphia Most Influential African American Leader and a 2023 “Mover and Shaker” by The Philadelphia Tribune. Also in 2022, he received The Legal Intelligencer’s Professional Excellence Award for Diversity Initiative and was named to the Lawyers of Color “Hot List.” In 2022, as an Eisenhower Fellowships USA Justice Fellow, he traveled to Finland and Kenya, where he gained an international perspective on ways to improve public education, particularly in low-resource urban settings routinely challenged by crumbling infrastructure, divestment and apathy.

Streater earned his B.A. magna cum laude from Temple University and his J.D. with a Certificate in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he served as a staff editor for the Temple International & Comparative Law Journal, the first Black president of the Student Bar Association and president of the Black Law Students Association, among other leadership posts. While in school, he completed a Judicial Honors Student Clerkship for the Hon. Theodore McKee of the Federal Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
