Overview
Daniel Hutchison is an experienced bankruptcy attorney who has dedicated his nearly 30-year career to helping people cope in difficult financial times. He is a five-term Gloucester Township Councilman in New Jersey and was elected in November 2023 to the New Jersey General Assembly to represent District 4.
Dan earned his J.D. from Widener University Law School. He opened his law practice in Gloucester County in 1997 and is currently working on obtaining a master’s degree in bankruptcy law at Saint John’s University. He earned his B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Rider University and passed the C.P.A. exam in 1991.
Dan has served as the Gloucester County Regional Coordinator for the Financial Literacy Program visiting high schools throughout Camden and Gloucester Counties to discuss the pitfalls of obtaining and using credit unwisely. He has also served Gloucester Township as a Planning Board Member, Housing Authority Liaison, and Blackwood Lake Advisory Committee Liaison.
Dan is admitted to practice in New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
A father of four, Dan in his free time enjoys volunteering and has coached youth in Gloucester Township, serving as a soccer commissioner and Tiger Scout Den leader, and coaching soccer, baseball, and basketball. He has also sponsored the local football, soccer, lacrosse, and baseball organizations. Recently he finished 270th in the 2023 Crossfit Games Worldwide.
