Jason A. Daria handles a wide range of complex civil litigation involving motor vehicle and trucking accidents, construction accidents, premises and product liability, personal injury and medical malpractice. A partner in the firm since 2004, Jason has litigated numerous jury trials and has achieved numerous seven- and eight-figure verdicts and settlements on behalf of catastrophically injured clients.

MOTOR-VEHICLE ACCIDENTS:

• $31 million jury verdict against County of Camden, New Jersey, for failure to repair a highway guardrail that it knew was dangerous
• $11 million settlement for a motorcyclist struck by a rented truck
• $4.5 million settlement for a mother and her three young children who were struck and killed while lawfully using a crosswalk on Roosevelt Boulevard that was not controlled by any traffic light or traffic control signal
• $3.8 million settlement for a bicyclist injured in a motor vehicle accident, where it was alleged that poor lighting contributed to the crash

CONSTRUCTION ACCIDENTS:

• $13.3 million settlement for a carpenter who fell 14 feet at an office construction site when a roof truss that he was installing broke
• $11.3 million settlement for an injured shotcrete concrete pump operator in California who fell through an unguarded open hole at a construction site
• $5.6 million settlement for a construction worker who was injured when plywood and wood scraps fell off of a roof striking him as he was working on the ground
• $5.45 million settlement on behalf of the family of a 55-year-old machine operator who was crushed to death in an industrial accident at a paper products plant
• $4 million settlement for a worker on a roadway construction project along the New Jersey Turnpike who was injured when a dump truck that was backing up struck him, drove over his legs and pinned him under its passenger-side rear tires

Jason has been named as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters every year since 2010 and is included in its list of Top 100 in Pennsylvania. From 2005 to 2008 he was named as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star. Since 2015, U.S. News and World Report has annually named him as a Best Lawyer in plaintiff personal injury litigation. Since 2014, NJ Magazine has annually placed Jason on its Top Attorneys list, which is based upon comprehensive polling of members of the Southern New Jersey legal community. In addition, he has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as a Top 100 Trial Attorney in the Civil Plaintiff category. Jason has been certified by the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas arbitration program where he regularly served as an arbitrator. Since 2011, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Legal Clinic for the Disabled at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, which provides free high-quality legal services to low-income individuals with physical disabilities. He served as the Board’s president from 2015 through 2017 and vice president from 2013 through 2015. Jason presently serves as President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. He previously served as PTLA’s Assistant Secretary and was a member of the Board of Directors for several years before becoming an officer.

Jason has volunteered with the Support Center for Child Advocates, the Juvenile Justice Center Family Services of Philadelphia, and the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia. He frequently presents at continuing legal education programs, and has completed ongoing trial advocacy and civil litigation training programs by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and the Academy of Advocacy of Temple University.

Jason earned his law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he received recognition for outstanding trial advocacy skills. He earned a B.S. in political science and philosophy cum laude from The University of Scranton. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
