Director of Administration Joel K. Philip

Joel K. Philip is Feldman Shepherd’s Director of Administration and is responsible for the firm’s day-to-day operations. Joel leverages 15+ years of executive-level legal management skills and experience to drive strategic and tactical planning, risk management, organizational development, business development, and other functions. He also oversees the human resources, insurance/benefits, information technology, facilities, finance, marketing, and administrative management of the firm, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and profitability.

As a business partner who aligns the firm’s vision, mission, and values with its operations and performance, Joel strives to foster an environment of respect, innovation, and collaboration among the attorneys, staff, and clients. Joel has a proven track record of significant accomplishments, such as streamlining processes, improving client satisfaction, increasing revenue, and reducing costs. Joel is passionate about delivering excellence and value to the legal profession and the community.

Before joining Feldman Shepherd in 2024, Joel served as Law Firm Administrator at two prominent firms in Illinois and Pennsylvania and as Assistant Law Firm Administrator at a nationally ranked law firm in Philadelphia.

Joel earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Drexel University with high distinction and is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators.

Outside of the office, Joel enjoys spending time with family, traveling, watching movies in his native language (Malayalam), listening to sports talk, and is a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan.
