$1.55 Million Settlement for Death Caused by Dangerous Guardrail

Attorneys John M. Dodig and Jason A. Daria secured a $1.55 million settlement for the family of a young woman who was killed when her car struck a guardrail that was in an allegedly dangerous condition and did not comply with applicable safety standards.

Through experts in professional engineering and accident reconstruction, and roadway engineering, Dodig and Daria were prepared to establish at trial that the guardrail did not comply with safety standards going back to at least 1993, that its end terminal was not crashworthy, was not anchored into the ground as it should have been, and that it was installed and maintained at an excessive height, all of which contributed to the catastrophic accident.
