$4 Million Settlement for Head Injury to 11-Year-Old in New Jersey Showroom Accident

On May 24, 2007, just prior to jury selection in Atlantic City, New Jersey, attorneys John M. Dodig and Jason A. Daria were successful in obtaining a $4 million settlement for Anthony LaPorte. Anthony was 11-years-old at the time he was injured in a motor vehicle accident that occurred on January 8, 2000 in the showroom of an Atlantic County New Jersey car dealership.

Anthony was injured after he entered an unattended vehicle on the showroom floor. The keys were left in the ignition and Anthony started the vehicle and drove it across the showroom floor crashing into other vehicles. He sustained a head injury that necessitated multiple surgical procedures. The settlement monies were placed in a special needs trust and will take care of Anthony’s needs for the rest of his life.
