The law firm of Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock Dodig LLP is pleased to announce that Daniel J. Mann has been named a shareholder.
For nearly three decades, Mann has represented individuals and families who have been victims of defectively manufactured products, trucking and motor vehicle accidents, construction and workplace accidents, premises defects, and medical malpractice. Mann joined Feldman Shepherd in 1996. A partner at the firm since 2003, Mann has co-chaired more than 40 jury trials and, through verdicts and settlements, has recovered in excess of $500 million for his clients. Notable results include: $50 million for the families of three toddlers who were fatally injured by IKEA dresser tip-overs; $46 million — believed to be the largest child wrongful death recovery in U.S. history — for the family of a toddler who was fatally injured by an IKEA dresser tip-over; $36.5 million — the largest pre-verdict settlement in Pennsylvania state court history — for the family of two victims who died from the explosion of a propane cylinder on a food truck; $26.1 million for survivors of a tractor-trailer accident; and $18.3 million against the manufacturer of a portable electric heater that caused a house fire resulting in two fatalities and catastrophic injuries to an infant.
Mann presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. A legal thought leader, Mann is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education programs.
“More than 25 years ago when I first tried a case with Dan at my side, it was clear he exhibited the instincts and drive of a successful trial lawyer. He has been part of the fabric of this firm for decades, and we are thrilled that we will benefit from his leadership and continued contributions moving forward,” said Co-Managing Shareholder Mark. W. Tanner.
“I am honored to be included among the equity shareholders in this wonderful law firm, where I have had the opportunity to grow and develop as a trial lawyer since the 1990’s, and where professional excellence is the benchmark for every one of us. I look forward to helping to ensure that Feldman Shepherd remains a thriving, robust and forward-looking firm for many years to come,” said Mann.
