Feldman Shepherd is pleased to announce that trial attorney Reginald L. Streater has been appointed to serve on the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention.
The Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention evaluates candidates for judicial office and provides objective, nonpartisan ratings for the benefit of the voting public.
At Feldman Shepherd, Streater represents individuals and families in all manner of catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice and civil rights cases. Streater additionally serves as president of the Philadelphia Board of Education, where he oversees approximately 200,000 students, 20,000 employees, a significant portfolio of school district properties, and a budget of $4.5 billion.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Philadelphia Bar Association in this important and solemn work. I look forward to bringing my experience as both a trial attorney and president of the Philadelphia Board of Education to this role. With a foot in both spaces, I hope to meaningfully contribute to—and build upon—the strong work the Commission is already doing,” said Streater.
“Our firm has long supported the election of qualified judges to our Pennsylvania courts, and we are pleased to see that Reggie will be lending his considerable talents to this effort. We appreciate and respect the work of the Judicial Commission which plays such a vital role in educating the voters as to the qualifications of our judicial candidates,” said Feldman Shepherd Co-Managing Partner Mark W. Tanner.
