Bethany Nikitenko Appointed Chair of Philadelphia Bar Association Board of Governors

January 17, 2023

Feldman Shepherd is pleased to announce that partner Bethany R. Nikitenko has been appointed as chair of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association.

Founded in 1802, the Philadelphia Bar Association is the oldest association of lawyers in the United States. With 12,000 members, its mission is to serve the profession and the public by promoting justice, professional excellence and respect for the rule of law.

Nikitenko has served on the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Board of Governors since February 2021 and previously served as vice chair of the association’s Young Lawyers Division Executive Committee. In 2018, she was honored by the association with its Craig M. Perry Service Award for her numerous volunteer activities, which have included serving as a volunteer attorney for Philadelphia VIP, serving as a member of the Development Committee for Women Against Abuse, and serving on the Executive Board of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Jewish Committee.

“I am most appreciative of the opportunity to serve as chair of the Board of Governors. In this role, I hope to further advance the mission of the Association through advocacy, service to the community, and improving access to justice,” Nikitenko said.

“We are delighted that Bethany is continuing the tradition of service to the profession that has always been so important at our firm,” said Alan M. Feldman, Co-Managing Shareholder and former Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association. “While her work as Board Chair will be demanding and time consuming, we know that Bethany will devote the same energy to this new position that she dedicates to all of her professional obligations.”

At Feldman Shepherd, Nikitenko represents individuals and families who have been catastrophically injured by medical malpractice, auto and motor vehicle accidents, unsafe buildings, defective products, and sexual abuse.
