$1 Million Obtained at Arbitration for Sixty-Two Year Old with Charcot Foot

Failure to diagnose Charcot foot in a sixty-two year old patient with diabetic neuropathy represented by medical malpractice attorneys Carol Nelson Shepherd and Patricia M. Girodano.  Defendant orthopedic group placed poorly trained/inexperienced individual on front line of evaluation and diagnosis of patients.  The defense contended plaintiff was non-compliant with her diabetes medication, delayed in seeking, and delayed in getting, an MRI ordered by defendant and that her contributory negligence was the cause of the deformity/disability of her foot.

Attorneys Carol Nelson Shepherd and Patricia M. Giordano obtained a $1 million award at high-low arbitration.
